Marjorie M. Anderson
Marjorie M. Anderson, 90 of Malvern, died Sunday morning, Aug. 26, at Hot Spring County Medical Center.
She was born in Prescott on March 16, 1922, to the late Fred Anderson and Velma Riggan Anderson.
Reared and receiving her early education in Prescott, she graduated from Henderson State Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.
A longtime resident of Malvern, she taught in the Malvern Public School System for more than 30 years, where she was a sponsor for the Future Business Leaders of America. Miss Anderson was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Malvern.
She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Jack Roseberry, Sr.
She is survived by her nephews, Jack Roseberry and wife Becky of Benton and Richard Roseberry and wife Mary Beth of Malvern; great-nephews, Brandon and wife Cheyanne, Justin and wife Hollie, Claigh and wife Morgan, Bryan and wife T. K. and Heath and wife Lauren; four great-great-nephews, Case, Tucker, Brady, and Rex; and two great-great-nieces, Isabella and Olivia, to whom she was known affectionately as Aunt Mo.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
A cortege will leave the funeral home en route to Harp Cemetery for a graveside service to begin at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Mike Fikes will officiate.
Great-nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Malvern, the Malvern Boys and Girls Club, or any Humane Society.
