Martha 'Marty' Yancey Edmondson

Martha “Marty” Yancey Edmondson, 78, of Alexander, passed away on March 10, 2014 at Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Vilonia to the late Barty and Della (Lewellen) Yancey.
Martha worked in food service management and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Eugene Edmondson; a brother; Joe Yancey; and a sister; Wilma Reed.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas Edmondson, and wife Jo Anne of Little Rock and Donald “Pete” Edmondson and wife Debbie of Scott; one daughter; Fonda Edmondson Webster of Marion; one niece, Patricia Lynn Johnson of Vilonia; three grandchildren, Donald E. Edmondson, Wade Edmondson and Bethany Henderson; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Dickson officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Beryl Cemetery near Vilonia.
Visitation is set from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, 306 S. Main St. in Benton.
