Martha Pearl Holder

May 9, 2011

Martha Pearl (Pittman) Holder, 55, of Malvern was born in Malvern on Nov. 14, 1955, the daughter of Wiley and Martha (Barker) Pittman. Martha was a loving mother, Mema, sister and friend.
She left this world to take her place in heaven on Friday, May 6, 2011, at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She had a great love for her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with family, on the lake and during Christmas holidays. She will be remembered most for her kind heart, bright smile, positive outlook and enduring faith — even in the hardest times of her life.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Carl and Calvin Pittman; and a sister, Callene Pittman.
She is survived by her children, Natalie (Corley) Collins and husband Don of Glen Rose, Waylon Corley and fiancee Jennifer Elmore of Magnet Cove; and granddaughter Nicole Howard of Glen Rose; two brothers, Ronald Pittmen and Wiley Pittman Jr. of Malvern; and a sister, Calvinetta Wilson and husband Floyd of New Mexico.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern.
Funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday in the Regency Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Don Collins, Ronald Pittman, Wiley Pittman Jr., Floyd Wilson, Tom Corley, Jr. and Zack Lankford.
Special thanks to Dr. Robert Muldoon and staff of Genesis Cancer Center, St. Joseph's Oncology staff (4th floor), Arkansas Hospice, and countless others that helped her through the journey with this disease.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis Cancer Center, 133 Harmony Park Circle, Hot Springs, AR 71913, or Arkansas Hospice, 628 Malvern Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901.
Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
