Mary Alice Busby (Poe) Morris

Mary Alice Busby (Poe) Morris, 86, of Benton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 20, 2014, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born March 11, 1927, in Beach Grove.
She was the daughter of Melvin and Hettie Busby. Mary was retired, after being a self-employed beautician for 40 years. She was a member of Geyer Springs Church of Christ for 28 years and recently joined Highway Church of Christ in Benton. She enjoyed cruising, music, quilting and board games.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her children’s father, Billie Bond Poe; a brother, Charles Busby; and a sister, Roxie Arnold. 
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dewey Morris of Benton; her children, Billie Wayne Poe of Marianna, Glenda (Bill) Lesher of North Little Rock, Mary Joyce (Robert) Gaut of Clinton, Pamela (John) Cox of Benton, Karen Poe of Mabelvale; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hester Ann Duffin of Duran, Mich., and Margie Ruth Akins of Paragould; and numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, at Geyer Springs Church of Christ in Little Rock.
An additional service will be held at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould at 10: a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25. Burial will follow Saturday at Hornersville Cemetery in Hornersville, Mo.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Heath Funeral Home, 321 W. Garland, Paragould.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity or one of the churches listed in the obituary.
