Mary Ethel Nichols Makin

Mary Ethel Nichols Makin, 78, of Lonsdale died Tuesday, Feb. 26. She was born Jan. 6, 1935, in Kentucky. Mary was retired from the Benton School District and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ethel Crouch Nichols; and her husband, Donald Makin.
She is survived by her son, Donald Makin Jr. of Tennessee; three daughters, Kay Prysock of Benton, Debbie Teague of Glenwood and Angie Furr of Benton; a sister, Bessie Wilson; three brothers, William Nichols, Arlin Gabbard and Aurther Gabbard; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Ashby Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
