Mary Evielene “Freeman” Baker

Mary Evielene “Freeman” Baker of Alexander was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Sparkman to Bennett and Martha Freeman. She went to hug the Lord on July 4, 2012.
Mary was a member of Park Place Baptist Church. For 67 years she was a prayer warrior for the Freeman and Baker families and will be dearly missed. To her lifetime friends, she always had love and a prayer for them.
She was preceded in death by all of her siblings; her parents; two great-grandchildren; and her husband of 47 years, Loyd H. Baker.
She is survived by Loyd Jr. and wife Linda, Jackie and wife Donna, Roy and wife Linda, Becky Lattin and husband Leslie, Reece, Larry and wife, Cheryl and Mikey and wife, Regina; nineteen grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law on the Baker side; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Roller Drummond Southwest. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 6, at Roller Drummond Southwest.
