Mary Frances Cottrell

Mary Frances Cottrell, 85, of Banks, died Monday, Oct. 17, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born Sept. 14, 1926, in Banks, daughter of the late Raymond C. Bradford and Willie Lee Risher Bradford, she was a homemaker, member of Banks Baptist Church and the widow of the Rev. Thelbert Cottrell, who died Jan. 9, 1983. They were united in marriage on Sept. 26, 1948.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lamar Bradford and Norman Lewis Bradford; and a sister, Sybil Davis.
She is survived by her son John Cottrell of Banks; one brother, Carlton Bradford of Hayfork, Calif.;. three sisters, Fannie Mae Forrest of Little Rock, Sue Johnson of Houston, Texas, and Carolyn Jenkins of Monticello; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and special lifelong friends, Sue Hooks Johnson, Dixie Young, Jimmy Robbins, Patsy Anders and Joe Anders.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 20, in McFarland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Frazer Funeral Home.
