Mary Mildred Barnes

Mary Mildred Barnes, 93, of Bauxite passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, at Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 12, 1920 in Mercer County, Pa., to the late Charles and Pearl (Small) Williamson. Mrs. Barnes was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Sardis. Mrs. Barnes was a very loving mother. She loved reading her Bible and loved all of her grandchildren very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Barnes, two sisters, and one brother. 
She is survived by her 10 children, Audrey Artman of Jamestown, Pa., Joyce Ward and husband James of Mabelvale, Connie Hutto and husband Conley of Conway, Jim Barnes and wife Linda of North Little Rock, Tom Barnes of Bauxite, Diana Ballentine and husband Greg of Bella Vista, Sara Terry of Springdale, Steve Barnes and wife Susan of Bauxite, Bill Barnes and wife Tommie of Bauxite, and David Barnes and wife Marianne of Statesboro, Ga.; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Neal of Pennsylvania; brother-in-law James Barnes and wife Sue; sister-in-law Betty Barnes; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. 
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Sardis, with Rev. Rick Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton.
