Mary Sue Cousin went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 12, in Hugo, Okla., at the age of 76. She was born April 30, 1935 in Melville of St. Landry Parrish, La., the daughter of the late Dave Hensley and Viola (Ragan) Crawford.
She was raised in Bauxite and graduated from Bauxite High School in 1952. She married William Charles Cousin on Dec. 25, 1952, in Little Rock. While in Arkansas, she worked as a real estate sales agent in Pine Bluff, and served as the Girl Scout executive for the Southwest Arkansas Girl Scout Council. She moved with her husband to Hugo, Okla., in 1980. She was a licensed private pilot and enjoyed flying and traveling with her husband. She was an amateur radio operator, an avid church volunteer serving in many areas of service, and a member of Motherâ€™s Inter-Se.
Sue is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Charles Cousin of Hugo, Okla; two daughters, Kathy Denise Naumann and husband Michael of Broken Arrow, Okla., Carol Ann Gamber and husband Mark of Grove, Okla; six grandchildren, Bradley Naumann, Grace Naumann, Kelsey Naumann, and Matthew Naumann, Kayde and Bradyn Gamber; one brother, Dave E. Crawford of Florida; and one sister, Dorotha Edmonson of Virginia.
A celebration of the life of Mary Sue Cousin will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at First Assembly of God in Hugo, Okla., with the Rev. Keithen Brown, Pastor Rick Smith, the Rev. Mark Gamber, and Pastor Randy Mayfield officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Summit Cemetery in Summit with the Rev. Sam Austin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel.
