Maurine Hankins McGugan

Maurine Hankins McGugan, 95, of Benton died Sunday, April 1. She was born April 13, 1916 to Arthur and Carrie Hankins in Pine Bluff. 
Maurine graduated from Ouachita Baptist College and taught second grade for several years.  She lived 50years in Benton and the last 11 years at Fox Ridge of Bryant.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ernest McGugan in May of 1995. 
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Kubicek and husband Jim; grandsons, Justin Tvedten and wife Natasha and Joel Tvedten; a great-grandson, Aleksandr; and a nephew, Scott Langston of  Fort Meyers, Fla., who was like a son.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Ashby Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Pine Bluff.
