Morris Douglas Tillery

Morris Douglas Tillery, 80, of Benton passed away Wednesday, May 23.  He was born April 30, 1932 in Beaudry to the late Joseph David (Joe) Tillery and Myrtle Winnie Howard Tillery.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired building contractor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dock Tillery and Cecil Tillery.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Sue Steele Tillery; three sisters, Henrietta White of Lonsdale, Fern Rusher of Hot Springs, and Mary Jo Dodd and husband Stanley of Hot Springs; two special nieces, Libby Austin of Benton and Mary Ruth Tillery of Alexander; two special great-nieces, Sarah Marsh of Conway and Meagan Austin of Benton; numerous other nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with the Rev. Carl Richey officiating.  Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in the Marble Township community.
Serving as pallbearers are Stanley Dodd, Walter Dodd, Tommy White, Ralph Tillery, Howard Rusher, and Eric Marsh. Honorary pallbearers are Dixie Car Club members, Holland Chapel Crusaders Sunday School Class, and Fountain Lake High School Class of 1950.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 25, at the funeral home.
