Nellie D. Fletcher

Nellie D. Fletcher, 93, of Benton died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013.  She was born Dec. 24, 1920, in McCool, Miss., to the late Samuel Jefferson Blaine and Fannie Elizabeth Vanlandingham Blaine.  Nellie worked as an LPTN at the Benton Services Center and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Fletcher; one brother; and four sisters.
Survivors include her son, Sammy Thweatt and wife Pat of Benton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with the Rev. Kim Hammer officiating. Burial will follow at Ten Mile Cemetery in the Ten Mile Community.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the funeral home.
