A single-engine plane carrying three people crashed at the Saline County Regional Airport around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
According to a report from the FAA, a Piper PA-28 was practicing takeoffs and landings as a part of an instructional flight with a two-man flight crew and one passenger.
During one of the touch-and-go landings, the aircraft experienced a hard landing, causing the subsequent collapse of the left main landing gear, FAA officials said.
The aircraft sustained unspecified damage, according to the FAA report.
No injuries were reported by the crew or the passenger, who were not identified.
