Nora Lavone Cook

Nora Lavone Cook, 81, of Benton passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.  She was born May 27, 1931, in Star City.
Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and a member of West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Pauline Wimberly; her husband, John H. Cook; and three brothers, Wesley, Harold and Walter Wimberly.
She is survived by her son, Mike Cook and wife Cheryl of Benton; a daughter, Patti Seals and husband Bobby of Benton; two sisters, Louise Burton of Benton and Bobbie Atherley of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Jason Seals, Holli Lincoln and husband Craig, Brad Cook and wife Tracy, and Brent Cook and wife Kristal; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Ashby Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Burris officiating. Burial will follow at New Rosemont Cemetery.
Visitation is set from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the funeral home.
The family will gather at 1918 Hunter in Benton.
