Norma Jean Elder

Norma Jean Elder, 79, of Benton peacefully went to be with her Lord on  Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 with her loving family at her side. She was born April 11, 1934, in Booneville, to the late Melvin and Gladys Wilkins Boggs.
Mrs. Elder was a homemaker and a very faithful Christian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Howard Elder Sr.; one brother, Bufford Boggs; two sisters, Thetia Pierce and Eva Carolyn Boggs; and her first husband, Carol W. Baker.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry Baker and wife Heather of Spokane, Wash., Gary Baker and wife Kathy of Lake Norrell, and Tommy Baker and wife Della of Hot Springs Village; one daughter, Carol Ann Baker of Sherwood; 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, nine stepchildren and many step-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Brother Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will follow in New Rosemont Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Jody, Brian, Jesse, and Garrett Baker, Ryan Lilly, Cecil Ford, and Dana Holland.  Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Holland and Bufford Boggs, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday, March, 2, prior to the service at the funeral home.
