Opal Ratcliff Stegman

Opal Ratcliff Stegman, 95 of Pine Bluff, Benton and recently residing in Baton Rouge, LA died Tuesday, Aug 9, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA.  Opal was born August 11, 1915 in Willow, to the late Ella Brumley Ratcliff and Frank A. Ratcliff.  She was reared and educated at Dellar. and had been employed as a dietician at Jefferson Hospital in Pine Bluff.  Opal was a member of Greenlee Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stegman whom she married in Sheridan; three brothers Lavern, Conway and Wallace Ratcliff and two sisters, Berta Fikes and Frankie Payne
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Merchant of Baton Rouge, LA and Cornelia Mendenhall of Benton; one sister, Melba Thompson of Fort Walton Beach, FL; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 12 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff.
