O.Z. Sharp

O.Z. Sharp, 82, of Benton died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, in Little Rock. He was born Nov. 4,1931, to the late Luther and Dora (Suggs) Sharp in Alley. Mr. Sharp was a retired logger and of the Jehovah’s Witness faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mattie Faye (Pettit) Sharp.
He is survived by two daughters, Avaline Sharp of Benton and Loretta Keener and her fiance, Craig Helvey of Benton; three grandchildren, Tasha Keener, Stephanie Bradshaw, Ashton Gunawan and husband Wawan; four great-grandchildren, Lana Moore, Brian Bradshaw, Sierra Beckham and Carla Keener; one sister, Oleta Morphew and husband Vick, of North Little Rock; other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Social Hill Cemetery with Brother Ralph Pettit and Brother Dale Wilson officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Wawan Gunawan, Bartolo Yon, Darren Alsup, Vick Morphew, Hubert Thornberry and Dale Taylor.
Visitation is scheduled from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31,at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (501-315-4047).
