June 11, 2014

Cory Devante Lawson, 22, of Mabelvale.

Saline County deputies arrested a man Tuesday after he was involved in a vehicle pursuit with officers.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on Krestview Drive in Mabelvale.

One of the victims told deputies that Cory Devante Lawson, 22, of Mabelvale pointed a pistol at him and threatened him, said Lt. Scott Courtney, Saline County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

While deputies were at the scene, Lawson returned but sped off after observing the officers at the scene.
Lawson drove into Pulaski County and then back into Saline County before his engine stopped, Courtney said.

Lawson has been charged with aggravated assault on a family member, fleeing, aggravated assault and several traffic violations.
