Raymond J. Smith

Raymond J. Smith, 80, of Benton passed away Saturday, April 14, in Bryant.  He was born March 30, 1932 in New York City, New York to the late Raymond Smith and Mary Costigan Smith.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War.   Later he retired as a mechanical engineer for AT&T. 
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Smith of Benton; one son, Dr. George Raymond Smith and wife, Jennifer of Lafayette, LA; one daughter, Carolann Urban and husband, Charles Urban of Ewa Beach, HI; two grandchildren, Candra and Christopher Urban; one brother, Edward Smith of New Jersey and one sister-in-law, Carol Williams of Benton.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home with Pastor James Burns officiating.  Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the funeral home.
