Robert "Bob" Reynolds

Robert "Bob" Reynolds, 88, of Benton, went to meet his Heavenly Father on Jan. 9, 2012.  He was born April 25, 1923, to the late Monroe and Ida Mae Reynolds and raised in Prattsville.
Mr. Reynolds was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Mabelvale, where he served many years as a deacon and Sunday School superintendent.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1985 after approximately 30 years of service.  After retirement, he enjoyed working at Renco with his three sons. His three loves were his family for which he was a great role model; his church; and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Terry Reynolds; and five siblings, Roy Reynolds, Coy Reynolds, Ava Mooney, Marie Pumphrey and Rita Gill.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Doris Shoptaw Reynolds; two sons, Gary Reynolds and wife Debby of Mandeville, La., and Larry Reynolds of Benton; three grandchildren, Leslie Penix and husband Ben of Fayetteville, Neal Reynolds of Little Rock and Devin Reynolds of Benton; and a great-granddaughter, Madeline Penix. 
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan.13, at Ashby Funeral Home with the Rev. Robbie Horn officiating. Burial will be at Philadelphia Cemetery. Rev. Robbie Horn will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Danny Reynolds, Tim Stuckey, Joe Donald Pumphrey, Gary Shoptaw, Bob Sparks and Neil Reynolds. 
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the funeral home.
