Robert Lee (Bob) Westbrook

Robert Lee (Bob) Westbrook, 89, of Batesville, died at his home May 28.  He was born July 16, 1922, to Andrew and Zula Westbrook.
He was of the Baptist faith and attended Parkview Baptist Church in Batesville.
Bob was a World War II veteran, having served under Gen. George S. Patton,  He received four of the five major battle stars during that time, along with other medals. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise Hamilton Westbrook; sons, Andy Westbrook and wife Carolyn of Benton, Tony Westbrook of Tennessee and Bobby Westbrook of Batesville; a daughter, Debbie Bennett of Tennessee; a brother, Floyd Westbrook and wife Cathy of Falls Church, Va.; eight grandchildren and five great-grand daughters; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 31. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander by Ashby Funeral Home 
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.Wednesday, May 30, at the funeral home.
