Roger Standridge Sr.

June 13, 2013

On Saturday, June 8, 2013, Roger "Bigun" Standridge Sr. passed into his heavenly home after surgery complications at UAMS.
He was born Aug. 8, 1949, in Russellville. He was the youngest of three boys.
Roger graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer drafting from Southern Tech University.
In 1970 he married Christene Johnson of Bastrop, La. He worked various places in his lifetime with his last employment of eight years being at Alumacraft in Arkadelphia.
Roger was a genuine prankster, one time going as far as removing a guy's tires and hiding them. Roger enjoyed boating, camping, spending time with family and friends and absolutely loved to call the Hogs.
He was predeceased by his mother in 1984, his father in 2008 and a grandchild, Carson Grace, on May 10, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Chris; a son, Roger Jr.; a daughter, Renae Kennerly; five grandchildren, Cheyenne, Wesley and Deegan Standridge, and Hanna McClendon and Eryn Kennerly; one brother; and various nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Meadow View Missionary Baptist Church, 1760 Highway 270 in Malvern, followed by visitation at his home, 403 Efird Road in Malvern. Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Regency Funeral Home, 1839 Pine Bluff St., Malvern, AR 72104.
