Ruth Whitley

Ruth Whitley, age 89, of Benton, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011. She was born April 24, 1922 in Haskell, Arkansas. Mrs. Whitley was a retired L.P.T.N. and a member of the 1st United Pentecostal Church in Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Asbury and Hattie Gault; husband, R.A. Whitley and twelve siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita Graves and husband Don; son, Jerry Whitley and wife Elsie all of Benton; four grandchildren, Lee Ann Williams, Rev. Jerry Whitley, Rev. Daniel Whitley and Jim Whitley and fourteen great-grandchildren, Andrea and Zachary Williams, Jordan, Seth, Joel, Erin, Gracie, Logan and Lukas Whitley, Jasmine, Jade and Brock Bridges, Kendra Bledsoe and Curtis Whitley.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6 at the 1st United Pentecostal Church in Bryant with burial at Mt. Harmony Cemetery.
