Sharon LaNan Ottens

Sharon LaNan Ottens, 58, of Benton, passed away Friday, Dec.30.  She was born August 25, 1953 in Benton, to the late John Horace Hayes, Jr. and Mildred L. Reed Hayes.  Mrs. Ottens was a secretary at the Alexander Youth Service Center and a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.  
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Ottens; son, Scott Ottens and wife Sarah; brother, John Hayes; twin grandchildren, Aubrey and Jackson Ottens all of Benton and numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.  
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2 at New Rosemont Cemetery. Rev. David White will be officiating.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1 at Ashby Funeral Home. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church or any animal shelter of your choice.
