Sport Shop has rough outing at tourney

At the Sheridan Wood Bat Tournament, Benton Jr. Legion Sport Shop lost three games, including the final game 15-3 to Little Rock Blue Post.
Little Rock scored seven in the first, three in the second and five in the third. Sport Shop had two in the second and one in the third.
Little Rock had 15 runs on 10 hits with three errors. Benton had three runs on five hits with one error.
Ethan Hendrix pitched 2 2/3 innings, allowing seven hits with a strikeout and three walks. Jay Davies pitched 1/3 of an inning, allowing three hits with three walks.
In the second game, Conway defeated Sport Shop 4-1 after scoring two runs in the first and two in the fourth. Sport Shop scored its only run in the first inning.
Benton had one run on four hits with an error. Conway had four runs on six hits with an error.
Matt Mitchell pitched six innings, allowing six hits with three strikeouts and four walks.
Last Thursday, Lakeside defeated Sport Shop 17-0 after scoring five runs in the first, eight in the second and four in the third.
Lakeside had 17 runs on 15 hits with no errors, and Sport Shop had one hit with three errors.
For Benton, Michael Higginbotham pitched two innings, allowing a walk and seven hits with hit a batter. Mitchell pitched two innings, allowing seven hits with two strikeouts and two walks.
