Stanley Hilborn

Stanley Hilborn, 79, of Glen Rose passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Saline Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1934, in Glen Rose, the son of the late Roy Benjamin and Hattie Floyd Hilborn.
Stanley enjoyed fishing, hunting and being at the lake. He graduated from Glen Rose High School in 1952 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Reynolds Metals, then worked at Benton State Bank for many years.
Stanley was a member of Fairplay Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jones Hilborn; a son, Alan Hilborn (Karen) of Benton; a daughter, Amy Stone (Pete) of Vicksburg, Miss.; two brothers,Richard Hilborn (Sue) of Cave City and Boyce Hilborn (Barbara) of Benton; a sister, Janice Riggan (Larry) of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Aaron Hilborn (Amanda) of Benton and Ashley Hilborn of Little Rock; a great-grandchild, Hollyn Hilborn, who was born on Stanley's birthday; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Kenny Mitchell officiating.  Burial will be at Fairplay Cemetery.
Scheduled to serve as pallbearers are Dennis Tuggle, Rodney Tuggle, Dewayne Lambert, Keith Crawford, Tommy Caudle, Lee Hilborn, Chris Hilborn, Bobby Raines and Jeff Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers are members of Stanley's Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Regency Funeral Home.
