Teen hill-jumper's bond revoked

August 23, 2014

Charles K. Sadler

A teen who was arrested in connection with a "hill-jumping accident" earlier this month has since had his bond revoked after he received two additional traffic citations Thursday night.

Charles K. Sadler, 18, of Bryant was allegedly traveling 94 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 30 when he was pulled over near mile marker 117. Sadler received a citation for speeding and reckless driving, said Shea Meeler, Saline County Deputy Prosecutor.

Because he was the driver in the "hill-jumping accident," he was charged with manslaughter but was released on a $10,000 sheriff's bond.

Sadler will be appearing Monday at 11 a.m. before Saline County District Judge Mike Robinson for a hearing.
On Aug. 4, Sadler was involved in an accident on Midland Road which caused the death Tylor Wright, 18, of Benton. During the accident, Sadler lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree.

Police believe Sadler was jumping a hill at the time of the incident.

Wright died at the scene, authorities said.
