Thomas E. Williams Sr., 75, of East End went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 23. Tom was born on July 10, 1936, in Little Rock to T. A. and Elouise Williams. He was retired from Alcoa of Benton and a consultant of Employers Mutual. He was a member of East End Baptist Church, a 32nd-degree Mason, Iron Springs Lodge 342, and a former member of the Scimitar Shriner. He will be remembered well by family and friends that received gifts from his hobbies of wood carving and cooking. He was very generous and caring of others' needs.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Ettleman Williams, and his brother, Bobby Ray Williams.
He is survived by his son, Ted Williams and wife Marla; a daughter, Robin Garrett and husband Bob; four grandsons, Austin and McKinley Williams and Grant and Dylan Garrett; and one sister, Phana Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, at East End Baptist Church, 4701 East End Road, Hensley, AR 72065. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Sanders and the Rev. Paul Roberts officiating.
Open visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at the family home at 103 Williams Drive. Arrangements are by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan (870)942-1306.
