Thomas J. Wilson, 69, of Malvern, passed away Thursday, May 10, in a Hot Springs hospital. He was born March 4, 1943, in Little Rock, to the late Henry Eugene and Elsie Gray Wilson.Â He was a United States Navy Veteran serving four tours of duty in Vietnam and received several accommodations including three Bronze Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Navy Commendation Medal and meritorious Unit Commendation.Â He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents andÂ his wife Janice Wilson.Â
He is survived by one son, Ward Wilson and wife, Rhonda of Chattanooga, Tenn, two sisters, Gloria Jean Hearnsberger of Hot Springs and Sandra Gail Bracy and husband, Steve of Malvern, brother: Ricky Wayne Wilson and wife, Sharon of Malvern, two grandchildren; Chad and Allison Wilson of Chattanooga, Tenn.
and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service, with full military orders will be rendered by the Hot Springs VFW Honor Guard post 2278 and the United States Navy, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 12, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Donaldson, with Bro. John Ferguson officiating.Â
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 11, at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel.
