Tom Wright Jr., age 82, of Alexander, formerly of  Arkadelphia, died Friday, June 17, 2011. He was born August 12, 1928, in Clark County, the son of Thomas and Cora Bennett Wright. He was a retired groundskeeper for the Arkadelphia Country Club and Henderson State University and was a member of New Life Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Tucker.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Matilda Stewart Wright, a son, Stewart Wright of Bryant, one daughter, Dedra Angel of  Alexander, and two grandchildren, Kit Wayne Carson and Misty Hill. 
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with burial at Richwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
