Toyea Annette Reed, 53, of Benton went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 28, after a prolonged illness. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church for 30 years. Toyea enjoyed drawing, arts and crafts, singing hymns, going to church, and visiting with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Toyea is survived by a daughter, Jessica Hutcheson and husband, Chris of Benton; two grandchildren, Kristen and Chrispen of Benton; a sister, Teresa Dewitt and husband, Chuck; a brother, Frank Reed; seven nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends that loved her and will miss her dearly but know that she is in a better place from her personal testimony that she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
A funeral service will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Benton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
