Ula Jean (Turner) Griffin

Ula Jean (Turner) Griffin, 73, of the Shaw Community, passed away Wednesday, April 4, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.  She was born April 20, 1938 in England to the late T.J. and Verda Ann Turner.  She was a homemaker and loved to hunt and raise chickens.  She was of Missionary Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Walter Wayne Griffin; two grandsons, Chris Lewis and Walter Ammons; two sisters, Irma Gregg and Vetola Stergeon, and four brothers. 
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Walter Griffin; eleven children, Joyce Kyle and husband, Rudy, Brenda Prichard and husband, James, Ricky Griffin and wife, Kathleen; Marilyn Griffin, Terry Griffin and wife, Pat, Sam Griffin and wife, Misty, Nancy Lewis and husband, Roy, Glenda Gilbert and husband, Terry, Vivian Griffin, Janice Shelton and husband, Frank, and Richard Carter and wife, Marilyn; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and one sister, Norma Brazier. 
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 7, in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton with Bro. Donny Haynes officiating with interment to follow at Mt. Harmony Cemetery in Haskell.  Serving as pallbearers will be William Ammons, Sammy Griffin, Joshua Griffin, Timmy Kyle, Shane Hicks, Nathan Griffin, Ray Shelton, and Glenn Gregg.  Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Prichard and Jaret Griffin. 
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 6, 2012 at the funeral home.
