At approximately, 10:30 a.m. the victim of the accident died. Dorsey will now be charged with first degree murder.

Marcus Dorsey, 39, of Little Rock has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that occurred Thursday afternoon at Alcoa Exchange shopping center.

The incident began on Interstate 30 when Dorsey, who was driving a U-Haul pickup truck, allegedly struck two vehicles. Those two drivers started following Dorsey's vehicle, so he cut through the parking lot of Alcoa Exchange, said Sgt. Todd Crowson, Bryant Police Department spokesperson.

While driving near Target, Dorsey allegedly struck a 20-year-old woman who was walking to her car.
Dorsey never stopped after hitting the victim, Crowson said.

During the accident, the victim was catapulted into the air for 30 feet and then was dragged 30 feet, Crowson said.

The victim, who suffered severe injuries, was transported via MedFlight to Baptist Health Medical Center, he said.

A Target employee followed Dorsey to the Greens Apartment Complex where he was arrested by Bryant and Arkansas State Police officers.
