UPDATE: Wanted sex offender is apprehended

April 17, 2012

The search for a convicted sex offender that failed to comply with registration requirements comes to an end, Benton police said.
Anthony Wayne Page, 25, was apprehended on Monday and is expected to be transferred from the Hot Spring County Jail to the Saline County Jail within the next few days. Authorities said that Page violated terms of his release from jail and that not complying with registration requirements — providing a current address where that person resides — by sex offenders is a felony charge.
To report information about this crime, or other crimes, is encouraged to call the Benton Police Department at 501-778-1171 or 501-315-TIPS. Individuals also may send an anonymous tip to CRIMES (274637) with the keyword BNPD in the body of the text.
