Vada Eilene Metcalf

Vada Eilene Metcalf, 86, of Benton, passed away Sept. 15. She was born March 24, 1925 in Jerico Springs, Mo., to the late Dale and Meleta Cross.
Eilene was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Benton.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Irvin Metcalf; a brother, Leon Cross; and a sister, Norma Tucker.
Eilene is survived by her sons, Ernest Metcalf and wife Shirley of Lamar, Mo., Dalvin Metcalf of Hot Springs, Martin Metcalf and wife Karen of Benton, Richard Metcalf of Benton, Steve Metcalf and wife Ronette of Benton; a daughter, Marsha Evans-Williams and husband Don of Bryant; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenfield Cemetery in Jerico Springs, Mo., at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19.
