David Rogers, 87, of Mabelvale, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008. He was born Aug. 18, 1920 to Frank and Rose Rogers of Blytheville. He was retired from the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. An Army veteran, he served in the 413 Antiaircraft Gun Battalion during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Rogers; a son, David Michael Rogers of Mabelvale; a daughter, Debra Sosa of Little Rock; two brothers, Robert Rogers and Paul Rogers, both of North Little Rock; a sister, Annie Mae Rogers of North Little Rock; and one grandchild. A graveside service by Ashby Funeral Home is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Quitman, with the Rev. Bobby Golden officiating.
