Mauline Nelson, 87, of Bauxite died Monday, March 10, 2008.
She was born Jan. 10, 1921, in Warren.
Mrs. Nelson retired from the Alexander Human Development Center and then worked as a poll worker for local elections. She also worked at Head Start where she became a foster grandparent. In her early years she worked as a hairdresser. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, P.L. Harris and Anna Keele; her husband, John Nelson; and a daughter, Anna Houpt.
Survivors include her son, Bill Parrott and wife Betty of Cabot; a daughter, Jo Ann Bell and husband Merwyn of Casper, Wyo.; a son-in-law, John Edward Houpt of Bauxite; 32 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
