James W. “Shag” Roland, 77, of Bryant died Saturday, March 22, 2008, in Little Rock.
He was born March 16, 1931, in Little Rock to Eugene and Opal Mae Roland.
Mr. Roland was a Saline County businessman, a former member of the Bryant City Council and Saline County Quorum Court, a Korean War Army veteran and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Alene Roland; a son, James W. Roland Jr. and wife Connie of Rowlett, Texas; and a granddaughter, Shelly Roland.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
