John Albert Conrad Sr., 85, of Alexander went to be with the Lord Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008.  
He was born in Boone, Iowa, on March 2, 1923. He was an Army veteran of World War II, retired from Fort Roots Veterans Administration Hospital and a member of the Congo Road Baptist Church.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Florence Conrad; his wife, Earlene; one son, John Jr.; one grandson, David; four brothers; and six sisters.
John is survived by three sons, Morton Conrad and wife Minnie, Jerry Conrad and wife Ruthi and Lynn Taylor; eight daughters, Norma Degler and husband Henry, Cassandra Stocks, Vickie Moore, Barbara Luck, Diane Saldan’a, Jo Morrel, Aline Taylor and Donna Lambert; a sister, Arlene McNace; and a brother, Bill McNace. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28, at Congo Road Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.  
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home (455-5800), 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock.
