Thomas Martin Gooch, 88, passed away March 24, 2008, in Benton, Ark.
He was born Jan. 27, 1920, in Corinth, Miss.
He is reunited in heaven with his loving wife of 51 years, Marcia Julia deLassus Gooch, and his loving parents, Martin Thomas and Toka Inez Farnsworth Gooch.  
He grew up in New Orleans, La., where he met and fell for his first true love and wife, Marcia. He was a World War II veteran. He worked as an accountant in New Orleans, Houston and Fort Worth, where he eventually retired. He was happiest when visiting with family. He loved to travel with his wife, visiting most of the states in the United States and many countries overseas.  
“Tim” and “Uncle Tim,” as we all knew him, is survived by his sister-in-law, Evelyn deLassus; his nieces and nephews, Bruce and Kathy deLassus, Gary deLassus, Michele and Richard Wilson, Robert and LeeAnn deLassus, John deLassus and Diana Barney, Renee deLassus and Sarah Marsh, Kenny and Marcia Levy, Emile and Cheryl deLassus; and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, in the Dallas-Fort Worth Veterans Cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).
    Family comments: He was a devoted husband and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his love, friendship and humor.  The family wants to give special thanks to his caregivers at the Benton Healthcare Center and Saline Memorial Hospital and Hospice. The kindness and gentleness you showed is appreciated.
