Health Center has a new bonus plan for nursing hires |

Courier Staff Arkansas Health Center has implemented a new program that awards bonuses to all newly hired Certified Nursing Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses.
The amounts of the awards are as follows: •CNA, $1,000. •LPN, $2,000 •RN, $4,000. These bonuses will be paid in six-month installments until the full amount is paid to each individual, Ed Hood, center director, said. “AHC would like to thank the Arkansas State Legislature and the Department of Human Services Human Resources Department for all the hard work in making this opportunity possible to improve hiring and retention efforts for nursing staff at the facility,” Hood said. Hood congratulated the first recipients of the bonuses. CNAs receiving these are Valerie Norris, Brandy Vick, Amy Clifton, Danielle Donaldson, Stephanie Asbury, Stacey McFarland, Melody Pye, Cody Burkett, Carrie Dupas and Brenda Yarbrough, who received the first $500 installment of the bonus on March 14 after completing six months of service to AHC.
