New football coach Petrino to speak at Saline County Razorback Club |

By Richard Duke Courier Sports New Arkansas Razorback football coach Bobby Petrino will be the guest speaker at the Annual Saline County Razorback Club Fish Fry, which will be held Thursday, June 12 at the Benton High School Cafeteria.
“We are excited as Razorback fans to have our new Head Hog coming to Saline County to speak to our annual gathering,” said Alton Robertson, president of the Saline County Razorback Club. “His presence will provide a great opportunity for Razorback fans t come and meet and hear Coach Petrino and get excited about the upcoming football season.” Catered by Denton’s Trotline, dinner will be served from 5-7p.m. The program will begin at 7 p.m. in the Butler Auditorium at Benton High School. There will be a silent auction, door prizes and a raffle for two season tickets to Razorback football home games at Little Rock and Fayetteville. The program will be emceed by Today’s THV Sports Director Craig O’Neill, and a new part to the program has been added this year. Each of the area’s high school football coaches have been invited to say a few words about the upcoming high school football season. Also preceding the talk of Coach Petrino will be the awarding of the Nelson Rainey Award, which is given annually to the Arkansas Razorback football player who most epitomizes the life of the late Nelson Rainey of Benton. Tickets for adults are $15, for children are $10. They may be purchased at the Benton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Bryant Chamber of Commerce, Yoakum and Lovell C.P.A. in Benton and the Sport Shop of Benton. |
