Verbena Houston, 92, of Benton died Monday, April 7, 2008, at Saline Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1916, in Bunn to Henry and Minnie Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Phillip Houston; a brother, William Jones; and two sisters, Vera Thornton and Mary Parish.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Rhinehart; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elect Temple Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Willi Barnes Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Benton. Arrangements are by Christian Way Funeral Home in Pine Bluff.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Saturday at the church. |
