Mary Ethel Moseley Shepherd E-mail
Monday, 14 April 2008

On Thursday, April 10, 2008, Mary Ethel Moseley Shepherd, 79, of Bauxite went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior.
She was born on Jan. 29, 1929 in Bauxite to Charles Moseley and Ruth Hobbs Moseley King.
She attended Bauxite Schools for many years and graduated from Benton High School. In her early years she was employed by the historic “Triangle Café” and then later for a short period of time at the Benton Service Center. Most importantly she was a wife, mother and a caregiver to many. She was of the Pentecostal faith and loved to attend church. Mary was a compassionate woman who loved to visit with her friends, drive them to church, the doctor or just run errands. She loved to help people and was a wonderful example of a strong Christian lady who loved her family and friends and knew the true meaning of friendship. In her recent years she enjoyed her many Branson trips.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Shepherd; her parents, Charles and Helen Moseley and Jeff and Ruth King; one brother, Charles “Tink” Moseley; and many friends.
She was survived by her son and daughter in law, Elton and Donna Shepherd of Beebe; one daughter, Rita Shepherd of Bauxite; one sister, Belva Robinson of Redfield; grandchildren, Shawn Curtis of Malvern and Gina Jones and her husband Nate of Benton; six great-grandchildren and several cousins, nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her special friend and caregiver Kitrina Fleeman of Benton and a host of friends and family.
Please join us for visitation at Ashby Funeral Home today, April 13, from 5 to 8 p.m..
Services will be held at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 14, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Melvin Burris and Bro. Roger Brown officiating. Burial will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jerry Barnes, Mickey Stuckey, Bobby Floyd, James Shepard, Ron Shepard and Robert Dickson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Saline Memorial Home Health or Saline Memorial Hospice.
