John Robinson, 75, of Benton, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008.
He was born June 21, 1932, in Birta, Ark., to James and Sarah Robinson.
Mr. Robinson served in the Korean War, was a member of the Geyer Springs Baptist Church and was a member of the National Shoot to Retrieve Association of the Arkansas and Louisiana region. He was a self-employed plumber.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe T. Robinson.
Survivors include his wife, Dapthene Elizabeth Robinson; two sons, Paul Robinson of Benton and Phil Robinson of Houston, Ark.; a daughter, Liz Garner of Benton; three brothers, Fay Robinson of Little Rock and Norman Robinson and Jim Robinson, both of Birta; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home, with Paul Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Birta Cemetery at Birta.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. |
