Betty J. Coppock, 77, of Benton died Tuesday, May 6, 2008. She was born March 17, 1931, in the Shaw community to Eugene and Ethel Parsons.
Mrs. Coppock was retired from Sears. She was a member of Saline Missionary Baptist Church in Tull.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, J.B. Parsons; a sister, JoAnn Kritchka and husband Gleason Coppock; and two daughters, Doris and Dorothy Coppock.
Survivors include a son, James Gleason Coppock and wife Theresa; a daughter, Carol Ann Coney; three granddaughters, Michelle Stuckey, Amy Coney and Alexandera Coppock; and three great-grandchildren, Chase and Jayme Stuckey and Mya Coney, all of Benton.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery at Tull. The Revs. Clyde Chenault and Kim Hammer will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home.
