A Little Rock man who is a suspect in a May 5 bank robbery in Bryant is being held in a Pulaski County jail on $250,000 bond after being taken into custody Sunday.
Authorities said Troy Moore, 43, of Little Rock is a suspect in a string of bank robberies. He was taken into custody at his residence at 8407 Sequin Ave. after Little Rock police received a tip from a resident of Pulaski County who recognized Moore from a video surveillance photograph. The surveillance picture was taken at Metropolitan National Bank at 3109 N. Reynolds Road in Bryant. On May 5, Moore allegedly entered the Metropolitan bank branch and handed a teller a note demanding money. The note reportedly demanded $10s, $20s and $50s, and Moore allegedly told the teller to not put any tracking devices in the bag. Bryant police Sgt. Harold Edmonson said the robber never showed a weapon to the teller and was unsure how much money was taken. Moore is a suspect in five robberies in Pulaski and Saline counties dating to 2005, including two Simmons First National Banks in Little Rock and Bryant. Lt. Terry Hastings of the Little Rock Police Department said Moore should appear before a Pulaski County district judge today on charges of three counts of aggravated robbery and three counts of theft of property. Hastings said he is not sure when Moore will be transported to the Bryant Police Department for questioning. More charges are expected to be filed against Moore when he is turned over to Bryant police, authorities said.
