Wednesday, 14 May 2008
A memorial service will be held Thursday for a Traskwood mother and her two children who were killed in a traffic accident on Mother’s Day.
Krysti Mae White, 28, her son, Ethan Jakob White, 6, and her daughter, Emileigh Jayden White, 5, died when their vehicle left a bridge on U.S. 67 and landed upside down in Francois Creek.
The accident occurred at 7:22 p.m. Sunday north of Malvern, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
The service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home, 4212 Arkansas 5 North in Bryant.
Burial will be in Traskwood Cemetery.
Obituary information is on page 2.
The family recently moved to Traskwood from the Arch Street area in Little Rock, according to the state police.
Mrs. White and her children are survived by her husband and the children’s father, Randy “P-Nut” White.
Mrs. White and her children were southbound on U.S. 67 in a 2001 Chrysler Sebring when the accident occurred.
State police said the vehicle struck the northwest end of the bridge and left the highway on the west side of the structure.
Jakob White attended kindergarten at Glen Rose Elementary School and Emileigh White was a pre-kindergartent student at the school.
A Glen Rose official said this morning that the children were recently enrolled in the school.
Books will be donated to the school library in the children’s names, the school official said.
A memorial fund has been established at all Metropolitan National Bank locations. The fund is in the name of the Krysti White and Family Memorial Fund.
