Little Rock man charged with sex abuse of a minor E-mail
Thursday, 19 June 2008
A Little Rock man with property in Bauxite was arrested by Saline County authorities for allegedly sexually abusing a minor.
Charles Goodman, 33, also could face charges in surrounding counties, authorities said.
He was arrested June 10 after Saline County Domestic Violence Detective Allison Hoskins received information from the Arkansas State Police that Goodman had allegedly sexually abused a female juvenile.
Hoskins reportedly interviewed the juvenile, who said Goodman sexually abused her on numerous occasions, including at the property he owned in Bauxite. The juvenile also said Goodman had sexually abused her two siblings on several occasions.
Hoskins reportedly went to Goodman’s home in Little Rock and the Department of Human Services took custody of the siblings while the investigation continued.
On June 10, Hoskins was held at the county jail without bond. He was charged with one count of second-degree felony sexual abuse.
“[Goodman] could possibly face charges in other counties,” sheriff’s Lt. Mike Frost said. “He is being investigated in other counties for similar charges and we have already turned over our information to them.”
Frost did not mention the other counties. He = said the investigation is continuing in those areas.
On June 11, Goodman appeared before Saline County District Judge Judge Mike Robinson and was granted a $5,000 bond. Goodman reportedly bonded out on June 11 and is expected to reappear before Judge Robinson at 1:30 p.m. on July 22.
