Anna Muriel Landers Opitz, 81, of Benton, died July 29, 2008, in Bryant. She was born Feb. 25, 1927, in Benton to W.W. and Maudie Rigsby Landers. She was a life long resident of Benton, a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church of Benton and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Lloyd Wayne Landers Sr. and Robert Curtis Landers. Survivors include her husband, Otis Lowell Opitz; three sons, Frank Opitz of Dallas, Tom Opitz and wife Joyce, of Little Rock and Don Opitz and wife Stacy of Benton; five grandchildren, Jonathan Opitz and wife Patty, Janelle Thompson, Craig Opitz and wife Leah, Sarah Opitz and Zach Opitz; one sister, Ruth Burrow of Tull; one brother, Bill Landers of Benton; Barbara Opitz; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Roller-Ballard Funeral chapel with Dr. Richard Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park at Alexander. Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Opitz, Craig Opitz, Zach Opitz, Steve Landers, Rick Landers and Jordan Bone. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Landers Jr. and Wayne Burrow.
